Valerie K. Parker is an entrepreneur focused upon innovation at the intersection of interactive media and social enterprise. As the Founder and CEO of the Second World Group, Valerie pioneered the market for conscious and purpose driven experiential events and immersive entertainment. Her work spans continents to create a family of conscious, global minded companies firmly rooted in the principles of next level capitalism focused upon people, planet as well as profit. Production company Second World Productions broke ground in multilingual community programming as well as international documentaries, music videos, and commercial work and her non profit educational organization Second World Foundation enacted an innovative multidisciplinary immersive arts, dance, music and culture approach in tandem with sustainable economic development establishing several micro credit and disaster relief initiatives globally, harnessing the power of visual storytelling with new AR/VR technologies. Ms. Parker is the founder of Culture Fest International, the nation’s premiere interactive conscious music and arts festival, and the Fashionably Fair fashion marketing firm. Ms. Parker is UN correspondent to the Turkish Journal, has data mined for Media Lab’s The Human Speechome Project, and is a Professor at Fashion Institute of Technology teaching International Fashion Marketing and International Fashion Marketing Research. She also guest lectures at MASS Art in Boston, and has represented the United States on Rotary International delegations to Peru and Egypt.
